Compound Categories Overview
Brand: Bali Longevity Club
A map of how online peptide culture groups compounds, synthesized from public educator summaries (Hunter Williams masterclasses, Froese/Jones compound indexes) — not a catalog of recommendations and not a copy of any private research library.
How to use this page
- Learn the buckets so Discussion threads make sense
- Click through to future deep-dive docs as they ship (see CONTENT-BACKLOG)
- Assume combinations are under-studied even when they have nicknames
1. Recovery / tissue-talk peptides
Names you will hear: BPC-157, TB-500 (thymosin β4 fragment culture), sometimes KPV.
Cultural stack names: "Wolverine" (BPC + TB) appears across multiple educator channels; evidence for the combination as such is not a completed human trial story in the material we synthesize from.
Literacy focus: angiogenesis / migration metaphors in educator talk; soft-tissue vs gut routes people discuss; monitoring playbooks are surprisingly thin compared to popularity.
2. Copper & remodeling
Names: GHK-Cu; blends marketed culturally as GLOW (often described as GHK-Cu + BPC + TB) and KLOW/CLO-style four-peptide versions adding KPV.
Literacy focus: copper shuttle idea; topical vs injectable conversations; injection discomfort and "dilute more" heuristics; Wilson's disease / copper-chelation as hard-stop themes in responsible educator content; keep low-pH vitamin C separated in topical routines per common handling talk.
3. Mitochondrial peptides
Names: SS-31 (elamipretide / Bendavia cultural aliases), MOTS-c, humanin.
Literacy focus: "structure then signal" sequencing (SS-31 before MOTS-c) is a strong internet consensus repeated by several educators — still not a head-to-head trial proving order. Dose talk online spans wide ranges; approved-indication doses (where they exist) may differ sharply from "optimization" chatter.
4. GH axis secretagogues
Names: CJC-1295 (often "no DAC" in community talk), ipamorelin, tesamorelin, sermorelin, oral ghrelin-mimetic discussions (e.g. MK-677) in adjacent content.
Literacy focus: GHRH + GHRP pairing logic (CJC + ipamorelin as a common cultural pair); IGF-1 monitoring as the recurring lab theme; cancer-history cautions in educator content; redundant stacking warnings (two agents, same receptor class).
5. Incretin / metabolic drugs (often adjacent to "peptides" talk)
Names: semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide (research/trial-era discussion), related dual/triple agonists as the field evolves.
Literacy focus: titration culture, protein + lifting, GI side effects, gallbladder/pancreatitis-pattern red flags, heart-rate anecdotes on some agents, thyroid medication interaction conversations that guidelines may not fully cover yet.
These are frequently approved or late-stage clinical molecules in various jurisdictions — treat them as medicines, not supplement aisle candy.
6. Immune & inflammation side-quests
Names: thymosin α-1, KPV, LL-37 (more caution-heavy), LDN (not a peptide; appears in stacking talk).
Literacy focus: bidirectional immune narratives; autoimmune vs infection contexts are easy to oversimplify in chat.
7. Neuro / sleep cultural set
Names: Semax, Selank, DSIP, epitalon, dihexa (often flagged as early/preclinical in careful educators).
Literacy focus: intranasal culture; cycling talk; evidence quality drops fast — demand primary citations.
8. Fat-mobilization adjuncts (educator niche)
Names: AOD-9604, assorted "exercise mimetic" research compounds in coaching content.
Literacy focus: frequently framed as useless without a deficit / appetite tool / training — i.e. not magic lean-out dust.
